This has some excellent ingredients! B vitamins are essential for energy production, magnesium helps calm the mind, and zinc helps manage the inflammation levels associated with chronic stress. However, a few of the ingredients are underdosed, which means you may not be getting the most out of them. These include Ashwagandha, which is most potent at 600mg or more per day, as well as magnesium (Zen supplement delivers a mere 3% of the required daily amount).
The good news is, you can at least see the doses of the ingredients. This is surprisingly uncommon amongst supplements nowadays – more and more supplements use so-called “proprietary blends,” which hide ingredient doses and prevent you from knowing what you’re paying for.
It’s true that Zen Anxiety and Stress Relief is missing some of our favorite ingredients for stress, like L-Tyrosine. But for the most part, the formula looks good.

Lemon balm (Melissa Officinalis )is a herb with a long history of medicinal use, particularly as a mild sedative. Rhodiola Rosea, also known as golden root, is a flowering plant that grows in cold climates, like Siberia and other parts of China.
The Rhodiola Rosea extract has been shown to be effective in reducing stress levels and increasing energy levels in animals. Birds treated with the extract were able to overcome the effects of cold weather better than those who were not treated with it.

The dosage in the Zen supplement is just 50mg, whereas the optimal dose is 150mg or higher.
Hops is a plant that is used in brewing beer. It helps to give the beer its distinctive flavor and also acts as a preservative.
