Genius Mindfulness Review – Does it Work for Stress?

Genius Mindfulness Review - Does This Anti-Stress, Nootropic Supplement Work?

Here’s our Genius Mindfulness review. In this review, we’ll be looking at Genius Mindfulness’ ingredients to check them for benefits and side effects – in order to ultimately determine whether this supplement offers you good value for money when compared to other brain supplements.

Genius Mindfulness Review at a Glance

Genius Mindfulness is a completely natural supplement with only 3 ingredients. It contains blueberries, Ashwagandha Extract, and coffee fruit extract. Blueberries are shown to help with memory and long-term brain protection, while Ashwagandha reduces stress. Coffee Fruit Extract, on the other hand, isn’t a heavily studied ingredient, and we also don’t know which part of the coffee plant was extracted. There are many proven ingredients that are missing from Genius Mindfulness that should be used in Coffee Fruit’s stead, such as Choline and B vitamins. These would be more effective at delivering the benefits that Genius Mindfulness claims, such as improved focus and diminished stress. As a whole, Genius Mindfulness could be a good option for those who’re just looking to support their memory. In terms of stress, it’s missing a lot more in its formula to be effective. For the price it’s charging, Genius Mindfulness isn’t the best brain supplement we’ve tried.

How to use Genius Mindfulness

Genius Mindfulness dosage is 1 capsule per day with your meals, and plenty of water. Make sure not to take it too late in the evening as it may interfere with your sleep.

Genius Mindfulness Ingredients

Genius Mindfulness contains the following ingredients:

  • Sensoril® Ashwagandha (250mg)
  • Coffee Fruit Extract (200mg)
  • Organic Blueberry Blend (100mg), consisting of:
    • Alaska Blueberry
    • Oval-Leaf Blueberry
    • Alpine Blueberry
    • Dwarf Bilberry

With just 3 active ingredients, this is a simple ingredient formula. It contains well-known fruits and herbal extracts. Although the ingredients are in proprietary blends, you can see the doses of almost all of them.

Among other ingredients we have veggie capsules and organic rice hulls. Such a clean and streamlined formula is good to see – it tell us the manufacturer isn’t selling a product with a lot of “junk” or dead weight.

However, having just a few ingredients also comes with some disadvantages. For example, Genius Mindfulness is missing some of the best nootropic ingredients – including L-Tyrosine, B Vitamins, and Choline among other other brain-enhancing nutrients.

Additionally, while some ingredients in Genius Mindfulness are excellent for mood and brain function, there’s also one that isn’t proven to work.

Here’s a closer look:

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is an excellent choice. It is an ancient Indian herb that’s been used in Ayurveda medicine for thousands of years. Ashwagandha reduces the stress hormone cortisol. In doing so, it may help improve your mood and overall well-being. It’s also a neuroprotective herb.

Our only remark regarding Ashwagandha in Genius Mindfulness is the dosage – we’d like to see it closer to 600mg per serving, to provide a stronger anti-stress effect.

Coffee Fruit Extract

Coffee Fruit Extract is a highly hyped ingredient, due to its usage in popular nootropic formulas like Neuriva. Supplement companies like to claim that coffee fruit will increase your Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), which is associated with improved memory and cognition. But what does science tell us?

Currently, there’s only one study worth mentioning on coffee fruit’s effects on BDNF. This is the study that manufacturers of supplements that use coffee fruit often quote. It showed that coffee fruit may significantly increase BDNF levels. However, what the supplement manufacturers sometimes forget to tell you is that the study used whole coffee fruit concentrate with all of the fruit’s compounds. Meanwhile, a coffee fruit extract like the one in Genius Mindfulness can be anything – fiber, water, anything can be extracted from the coffee fruit.

Interestingly the study they quite also had a very small sample size among other shortcomings. As a result of this, and due to the fact that the study used a completely different ingredient than what’s in Genius Mindfulness, we don’t think Coffee Fruit Extract is the best choice. There are many ingredients out there that are more studied than coffee fruit extract when it comes to improving brain function safely and effectively over the long-term.

Blueberry

Blueberries are among the healthiest fruits you can eat. They contain plenty of flavonoids, antioxidants that improve cardiovascular health, immunity, and free radical defense systems of your body.

Blueberries’ antioxidants are good for your brain, too, as they’ve been shown to help protect the brain from excess oxidative stress and premature memory loss. There are multiple versions of blueberries in Genius Mindfulness, each one providing you a slightly different antioxidant and enzyme profile. All in all, it’s an excellent ingredient choice.

Customer Reviews

There are plenty of Genius Mindfulness reviews on websites like Amazon, as well as on its official website and Reddit. While relying on these reviews is a good way to gauge the general effectiveness and safety of the product, we do encourage you to do your own research on its ingredients to determine if it sounds like something that could work for you. This is mainly because the reviews on sites like Amazon can easily be faked or paid ads.

Does Genius Mindfulness Have Side Effects?

Genius Mindfulness shouldn’t cause you any side effects as long as you’re healthy and sticking to the dosage recommendations. Genius Mindfulness may contain a small amount of caffeine from coffee fruit extract, depending on what was extracted (the manufacturer doesn’t show us). If you’re sensitive to stimulants, then avoid taking Genius Mindfulness too close to bedtime as it can cause jitters and insomnia.

Pros and Cons of Genius Mindfulness

Pros

  • Contains a high-quality form of Ashwagandha which is great for stress
  • Blueberries are great for older adults because they help with long-term brain function

Cons

  • Missing some core ingredients for mood and brain function
  • Ashwagandha is underdosed, which limits its effectiveness
  • Steep price for just 3 ingredients

The Bottom Line

The bottom line is, Genius Mindfulness could be a good product for you if you consider yourself to be an audience for it.

If you want better memory and focus, then Genius Mindfulness could be worth trying. While we don’t rate it as one of the best nootropics of this year, it contains blueberries which are excellent for long-term brain protection.

However, if your main focus is reducing stress and supporting your brain from multiple angles, you’ll need to do research and look for more comprehensive formulas.
